The Causes
Cause 1: Rescuing orphaned
children from the Kisenye slums
Patrick has an amazing story; from an orphaned 13 year old living in the slums, to finding a child in the garbage & claiming care (as no one else would) at age 17, to supporting 50 children to leave life in the slums & into a stable, loving home (which was sponsored by another).
He currently spends times connecting with the orphaned children entrenched in life in the slums, when he isn't voluntarily teaching the poorest village children with 2 others (William & Amos), or 'being daddy' to the many children in the home. Our first goal in this project is to sustain the efforts of slum-outreach, and to provide a second stable home for more orphans.

Cause 2: Supporting the home with sustainability
projects to meet the needs of the rescued children.
We've had a great time - those who've had the chance- seeing infrastructure arise to support the 50 children at the home. Our goal is to make sure the home is self-sufficient & stable so that the children will be well served in their basic needs, and so that missions to the slums can continue without interferance.
Projects so far:
- chicken coop (picture right)
- taxi-van project (rented out daily)

Cause 3: Supporting the education of the children.
- through the most economically efficient means possible.
- we (aT4a) focus on 1. leadership in the potential building of a school (curriculum, and/or infrastructure) for the orphaned & poor community children (at RUHU Orphanage), and 2. direct financial support of individual needs (i.e. school fees).
